Someone tell me I don’t need to have my head examined. I just watched the second episode of The Bachelor of the week. ABC is clearly using their ratings juggernaut to smash any possible competition and to give the premiere of Body of Proof a powerful lead in so we had a 2nd episode this week.
On tonight’s 2nd episode of The Bachelor of the week, Sean tells all. What is he telling? All. Were any of you surprised by anything? I wasn’t really. Possibly the biggest shock of the night was finding out that the fight between Tierra and the women lasted for several hours, not just several minutes.
What this show didn’t do tonight was show Sean as having any kind of personality or anything interesting at all about him. Having him 1 on 1 with Chris Harrison highlighted to me what I’ve known about Sean Lowe for the entire run of the show. He is really very boring. I know I know. Women love him but let’s be honest about what they love. There is a reason why ABC finds a reason to have Sean take his shirt off every single episode. ABC isn’t dumb. It’s certainly not Sean’s charm.
This episode is one of those things that I really hate about reality TV. In an effort to extend the season, they always put in a filler episode of special behind the scenes footage that has never been seen. My question always is, if the footage is so good, why didn’t it make the show in the first place? Survivor, you are the worst culprit of this crime but The Bachelor seems to have learned from the best.
We didn’t learn anything new tonight other than my tolerance for The Bachelor seems to be even higher than I ever imagined. I think I’m in the zone now. I’ve gone to that place where my brain turns off and I no longer am feeling any pain. I’m just functioning on muscle memory and the desire to see who Sean will be divorcing some time in June.
