News today that Dos Equis has decided to finally pull the plug on their Most Interesting Man in the World advertising campaign. It’s about time. After nearly nine years (that’s correct, nine years) of commercials, Dos Equis is sending the most interesting man on to greener pastures. This is news that I’m sure is shocking to exactly zero people. Have you seen/heard any of these commercials lately?  They were very clearly running out of material. For those of you who might be ...Click for More

November 10, 2014 // 0 Comments

Did you watch The Simpsons Futurama crossover last night? I did. It was on before the Bears started playing so I watched this before tuning in to the Bears debacle. Overall, I didn’t think it was bad. There was one thing they did in this episode though that I know I’m not the only one to see it. The Simspons Futurama crossover opened an old wound for Futurama fans last night. Here is the scene. Be warned, if you are a Futurama fan, you will know exactly what this is and you are ...Click for More

The Simpsons have released a preview of the couch gag that will air on Sunday night’s Simpsons and Futurama crossover. This crossover makes more sense because the shows are both created by Matt ...Click for More

Frank Sivero who played Frankie Carbone in the movie Goodfellas filed a lawsuit yesterday claiming that The Simpsons have stolen his likeness and used it without his permission.  Sivero claims that the character Louie is based on Sivero and his portrayal of Carbone in Goodfellas. Sivero’s lawsuit seeks, get this, $250 million in damages because he says it’s obvious he was the basis for the Louie character. If you’ve been following the news, you know that the people of Scotland head to the polls today to vote on whether to remain part of the United Kingdom or become their own free country. My family is of Scottish heritage so while I have a passing interest in the election today, that’s about where my interest stops. That is until we get some TV personalities involved in the news. If that happens, we have to take notice and now, a very well known ...Click for More

Seth MacFarlane sure had a busy Comic-Con.  Lots of Family Guy news came out of the Family Guy panel discussion and interviews from Comic-Con 2013.  Family Guy ratings have been slipping over the last few seasons and MacFarlane has suffered some setbacks in his TV empire (The Cleveland Show, American Dad).  The Family Guy news that came out of Comic-Con shows that hopefully MacFarlane and company are going to re-engage with Family Guy and spend more time to bring it back to the quality show ...Click for More

The Simpson’s House

July 23, 2013 // 1 Comment

I saw a story on one of my favorite sites today,, about The Simpson’s House having been built.  Being the savvy internet/TV/Pop Culture writer (and sex symbol) that I am, I thought how awesome it would be to write about this since we had already done a story about Homer’s Car being built.  Again, being the savvy and sexy writer that I am, I wanted to look in to this for you the reader.  I didn’t want to just post pictures without being able to provide some ...Click for More

Fans of The Simpsons will remember the episode (Oh Brother, Where Art Thou, 1991) where Homer finds out he has a 1/2 brother (Danny DeVito) that runs his own car company.  When the brothers are reunited, brother Herbert asks Homer to design the next car that his company will sell.  The result?  The Homer. Homer’s car had not made it past the drawing board until now.  Porcubimmer Motors has created a real life version of The Homer and they even raced it in the 24 hours of LeMons north ...Click for More

The Simpson’s Academy Award Nominated Short

March 2, 2013 // 0 Comments

Did you know the Simpson’s had been nominated for an Academy Award this year?  I didn’t either.  The Longest Daycare is the first production of The Simpsons to ever receive a nomination from The Academy. I love the title slide of “The Longest Daycare.”  It is reminiscent of the days of classic cartoons and looks a lot like a Fred Quimby (Tom and Jerry) title screen.   I am not a baby Maggie fan (I don’t know who can be since she has never done anything ...Click for More
