Survivor: Blood vs. Water ep. 4

survivor blood vs waterI’m not even going to do a total recap of last night’s show. I am just so irritated with the people on Survivor: Blood vs. Water that I just can’t even think right now.  Let’s talk about it.

candice codyLet me start by saying that I really, really hate Candice.  WTF is her problem?  She has played the game before right?  She is supposed to understand how this game works. When a team loses an immunity challenge, they have to go to tribal council and vote someone out.  They don’t have a choice.  Someone has to go. They can’t say “well Jeff, Candice is going to be very mad we voted out someone so we think we are just going to not vote this time.”  Candice constantly attacking Brad at every redemption island challenge is getting old and it shows really that she is an idiot.  I’m to the point now that I don’t care who wins Survivor: Blood vs. Water as long as it isn’t Candice.

Last week, Tadhana made a huge mistake by voting out John Cody (Candice’s husband). It wasn’t a mistake because it would upset Candice. It was a mistake because you don’t vote out strength early in the game. Tadhana immediately paid for their mistake by losing yet another immunity challenge that John surely would have helped them on.  Instead, they lose and they have to go to tribal council.

Tadhana now takes the mistake they made last week and multiplied it by 1000.  Caleb gets wind of the fact that he could possibly be voted out of the game and instead switches his vote to go with Ciera and Katie.  We get a tie between Ciera and Brad and the result of the revote is that Brad gets voted out.

Tadhana is now the weakest team that has ever been fielded in the game of Survivor.  Ciera and Katie are two of the weakest women who have ever played the game (which is saying something because there is a hall of fame of weak women who have played).  Those two have been non-existent in challenges and now they are 40% of the remaining Tadhana tribe.  Good luck Tadhana.  A complete wipe out is now in your future but hey, Brad’s gone.

Now that Brad’s out lets talk about the voting again and why Brad made a tactical error last week.  First, you don’t vote in the team game thinking about post-merge.  You have to get to the merge before you can start thinking about it.  If you think about the merge early, you are going to get destroyed.  Second, when you have a plan in place, you execute the plan.  You don’t stop and say that you will vote this one person out now and next week get back on track. Brad had a plan to wipe out the weak women on his team and he should have stuck to it.  He took out John early which gave the weak women on his team enough leverage to turn the game against him.  John would have never voted with Ciera and Katie.

I’m looking forward to next week where it appears that Brad’s wife Monica is apparently offering up her spot in the game to get Brad out of redemption island. This would be hysterical if for no other reason than it would upset Candice and to me, that’s worth the price of admission.

So what did you think Survivor fans?  Let’s discuss.

Coming in to this season I never thought that the loved ones had a chance in hell against a team full of people who had already played the game, even if those were all B-team players from previous seasons.
