When Revolution first came out, I was it’s biggest fan. Then came November 26, 2012, and the lights went out on the show for 4 months. So, forgive me NBC if I don’t just jump right back on the bandwagon.
The show is produced by JJ Abrams (Lost, Alcatraz, Person of Interest) so I had very high hopes for the show and it delivered out of the gate. After about 6 weeks, it seemed that the show stalled. We get it, the power went out and civilization crumbled. The problem is from week to week the story failed to move along.
So last night, with nothing new on (except Revolution), I decided to catch-up on the last 3 weeks episodes. What’s the verdict? Eh?
Let me just say that this show is making every effort to be like Lost. Problem is, nothing will ever be like Lost. The acting and story were far superior to what’s going on here. On the other hand, like Lost, when Revolution explains something I don’t understand it at all.
So where does that leave us? I don’t know the ratings for last nights show, but last week’s was the lowest of the season. We still don’t quite understand, and least I don’t, why the power went off. But a few of the characters are off to some tower that could supposedly turn the power back on (if you need a episode by episode guide, here is the link to that page).
I’ve invested now in 13 episodes so I’m in it to the finals. I swear to god though NBC, if you cancel this show and don’t let me know what’s going on like Fox did with Alcatraz, I will hunt you down and write you a mean letter.
