Everybody knows that if you are a bad TV show and you want to exist for a long time you go to CBS (YES DEAR, 2 BROKE GIRLS, MIKE & MOLLY, etc). Also, since the COSBY SHOW, NIGHT COURT, and CHEERS, NBC has been the place shows go to die. It appears all that is changing now with REVOLUTION, THE NEW NORMAL, and GO ON getting the first full year pick-ups. I don’t mean to toot our own horn over here, but MIDWEST TV GUYS have been raving about these shows from the get ...Click for More

Just Watching…

Here are some quotes from last nights show featuring the grandmother, Ellen Barkin. Guy: So what brings you to LA? Barkin: You know the same, just a dumb whore looking to get on a reality show.  Guy: The way I was raised the guy always pays for the drinks.  If you pay I would have to find some way to pay you back. Barkin: Stop it, your mother should have spanked you more. Guy: Oh, I’m open to that.: Barkin: Are you for real, because your I’m 60 and still a sexual being feels like bull ...Click for More

All About Schmidt

October 3, 2012 // 1 Comment

Folks, this is Max Greenfield.  He plays Schmidt on Fox’s New Girl.  This man is one of the funniest people on network TV right now and he is suffering.  He is suffering because he is languishing in the shadow of the wooden tree that is Zooey Deschanel. As I’ve said before, New Girl is suffering from Ted Mosby syndrome.  Every one of the supporting characters on that show outshines the lead in every episode with Mr. Greenfield leading the charge. I highly recommend this show but ...Click for More

Go On…

Matthew Perry has a new show on NBC called Go On.  It’s a show about a self-centered sports radio host that has recently been widowed who has joined a support group to deal with his depression. While it sounds like a downer of a concept, this is actually a funny show and it’s going to be staying in my DVR.  Perry has had some misses since his days on Friends and I’m glad to see that he is still getting opportunities.  As the funniest of the Friends cast, this guy should be ...Click for More

Speaking of Ted Mosby…

For all that is decent and holy.  Please.  For the love of god.  Can the writers of How I Met Your Mother find a way to write Ted off the show?  I know that the whole premise of the show is the story of how Ted met the mother of his kids, but this is Hollywood.  This is the place that found a way out of killing Bobby Ewing.  This is the place that killed Thomas Magnum when they thought they were cancelled and then magically brought him back to life when they were picked up for another ...Click for More

Trouble With The New Girl

October 3, 2012 // 0 Comments

The New Girl is a funny show on Fox that is suffering from the dreaded Ted Mosby syndrome.  Much like How I Met Your Mother, the supporting cast of The New Girl is far funnier than the lead character.  I implore the writers of The New Girl to find a way to write Zooey Deschanel off the show.  I would tune in to watch a show about her friends but watching her makes me want to jam sharp objects right in to my eye ...Click for More

Are They Serious?

Did the Village People really do a commercial for pistachios where they sing about crack?  I’m not sure if the irony is intentional or accidental.  Either way, kudos to the marketing geniuses behind the pistachio campaign. The Village People Sing About ...Click for More

So Does This Mean I’m a Pro?

Hello to our many readers and fans.  As my much older brother pointed out a few days ago, I have joined the site and will be contributing on a regular basis.  I think at this point I am officially allowed to call myself a professional blogger which is good because I’ve been using the title for the last several years on the underground blog market.  It feels good to come clean and come out in to the light.  The question now is, how much are business ...Click for More
