I’ve been a fan of Key & Peele since the very beginning of their show. In fact, it was one of the first posts I ever wrote on this website back in 2012 when I was trying to get people to watch their new and, at the time, lowly rated show on Comedy Central. I will have to take part of the credit for the success of their show as I feel that my help is in some way responsible for their rise to fame. Their success is leading to big things for the comedy duo with news that Key & Peele get renewed and not only that, they are getting a spin off as well. Comedy Central has renewed Key & Peele for a fourth season and they have increased their episode order to 22 episodes for the season.
The renewal for a fourth season is big news for a comedy show on Comedy Central. They have been struggling to find something, anything, to replace the loss of Chappelle’s Show. The network has given just about any comedian they can find an opportunity to have their own show on the network to mostly horrendously disastrous results (I’m looking at you Kroll).
Key & Peele are a welcome ray of sunshine for the network. The third season averaged over 2 million viewers an episode and the duo’s sketch videos are among the most popular on Comedy Central’s YouTube site.
In addition to news of their renewal for another season, the pair has also been rewarded with a spin off of their own. Two of their characters, Vandaveon Huggins and Mike Taylor, the TSA Agents/Comedy Critics will be getting their own animated series. The characters will be revised a bit from their current form to that of two 12-year old hall monitors but their attitudes I imagine will remain the same. Here is the skit that introduced these two:
Key & Peele Get Renewed – Vandaveo and Mike Skit
These two are certainly very funny but clearly this success was a team effort. I am 100% positive that without my help pushing for people to watch this show, they would not be where they are today. You just can’t ignore an influential site like this one that has literally tens of readers. I don’t expect the duo to recognize me for my efforts as greatness like this often toils in silent dignity.
If you are unfamiliar with these guys, here are some of the funniest skits that helped build their brand (with my help) .

Season 4 of Key & Peele will air in the fall of 2014 on Comedy Central.
