We have been previewing shows that are premiering in January trying to keep you as up to date as possible on the coming changes to your TV line up because that is what we do here.  We inform and entertain. So in our continuing effort to fulfill the mission that America has given us, I’m here to let you know that COUGAR TOWN will be returning to TV on January 8th on TBS. This show is an example of how a terrible show name can hurt you.  Being named COUGAR TOWN turned many people away from the show because they thought that it was about old women chasing young boys.  And while that premise held true for about two episodes, that is not at all what this show is about. The show was co-created by Bill Lawrence of SCRUBS and if you were a fan of that show, you should definitely be watching COUGAR TOWN.  The show has done a great job balancing comedy with drama and does as good a job as SCRUBS of knowing when to be funny and when to be serious.  The characters on the show all add something to the show and each is both funny and emotional in their own ways. This is one of my favorite shows on TV and I know if more people gave it a chance, they would agree.  The name of the show, which Lawrence has made fun of repeatedly himself, turned a lot of people away from the show.  I’m here to tell you now that you should ignore the name and give this show a chance. Here is Courtney Cox explaining how everyone has the wrong idea about the show: Here is the promo they are running to let everyone know they are back on TBS:   COUGAR TOWN returns on January 8th on TBS.
