Jerry Seinfeld has a web series running right now that’s pretty good called Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. Being that he is Jerry Seinfeld, he can pretty much get anyone he wants on to his show and he has. The premise of the show is that Jerry drives around in a different vintage car for each episode, picks up the comedian that will be on the show for the week, and they drive to a restaurant for coffee and conversation. It’s simple and good.
The popularity of the show means that at some point someone will start making fun of it. Parody of course is the highest form of flattery so I’m sure Jerry doesn’t mind. Joel McHale and The Soup did a parody version of Jerry’s show of their own. They have a pretty similar premise with one very minor twist to the set up.
