Celebrity Splash aka Here We Go Again

So there is no room on TV for Ben and Kate or Don’t Trust The B in Apt 23, but there is room for Celebrity Splash?  What a world.

Back in January, FOX attempted to stick it to ABC by getting their own diving show on the air before ABC even though ABC announced their show first.  It’s truly an odd way to try to screw with a Network.  If ABC had a show about celebrities jumping off a bridge would FOX copy them too (that’s what my mother would always ask me anyway).

This thing isn’t even set to air until March 19th, but the “buzz”, if you can call it that has started already.  Let’s take a look at the list of “celebrities” signed on to the project.

1. Louie Anderson
2. Drake Bell
3. Chuy Bravo
4. Nicole Eggert
5. Keshia Knight Pulliam
6. Ndamukong Suh
7. Katherine Webb
8. Kendra Wilkinson

Using the term “celebrity” is being very generous here.  However, there are some reasons to watch the upcoming season.  These 2 chicks are going to be wearing a swimming suit, bounce up and down, and get wet.  I don’t care who you are, that’s good family entertainment right there.  This might actually be too much for Brent Musburger to take, somebody make sure he’s OK.

I can’t watch. But I am interested in whether Nicole Eggert is still a viable option. I could google her but I’ll trust your expert opinion. Loved her on Charles in Charge and really loved the slutty movie she made when she turned 18. Drawing a blank on the name and I’m too far invested on this comment to back out and visit imdb. The Haunting of Morella? Now I have to go look it up.

Forget the girls… Louis Anderson in a cheetah print speedo… now THAT would be a reason to tune into Celebrity Diving. Why didn’t they book Honey Boo Boo’s mom while they were at it? Chalk one more up for ‘Missed opportunities’. I just hope that Celebrity Diving has a slightly lower failure rate than Celebrity Rehab has seen as of late…
