Five Bold Predictions for Sons of Anarchy Season 6

September 8, 2013 // 2 Comments

At risk of sounding like a broken record, I will once again assert that SONS OF ANARCHY is hands down one of the best shows on TV.  After a crazy fifth season, and considering that season seven will be the final season, the next few months are guaranteed to be a crazy ride.  While KURT SUTTER is never very predictable in his storytelling (Who saw Opie coming?!), I wanted to compile my list of five big predictions for the upcoming season. It should go without saying that there are going to be ...Click for More

Fall TV Preview – New Sitcoms

September 5, 2013 // 0 Comments

When people sit around and talk about their favorite moments from TV it often revolves around the sitcom.  Lines like no soup for you or math is hard keep us coming back week after week. Sitcoms are part of our culture and are the fabric of our society.  I guess what I’m saying is that to not like them means you don’t like America Midwest Mark. As we head into the Fall season, some look good and some look awful.  As I am the all things sitcom guy, I’ll start by reviewing ...Click for More

Fall TV Preview – Continued

September 4, 2013 // 0 Comments

We started out reviewing 2 shows a day but the other writers here had their ADD flare up and posted whatever they felt like.  I’m sure this left our 6 hardcore followers thoroughly confused. In an attempt to bring us back from the brink of insanity, I will finish reviewing Fox Network’s Fall TV lineup. Here’s the complete Fox lineup.  All blue items are links to our previous reviews. Monday – Bones, Sleepy Hollow Tuesday – Dads, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, New Girl, The Mindy ...Click for More

Top Ten Fall Shows with Midwest Mark

September 2, 2013 // 0 Comments

Here at MWTVG, we’re all about consistency.  Do you like how our Two-a-Days feature evolved from a beautiful seed of an idea to spontaneous 4-a-Days, No-a-Days, actual 2-a-Days and now Top 10 lists?  If anything, we’re consistently inconsistent.  And that’s something, isn’t it? That’s what you get when three mildly overweight midwestern guys who drink a little too much decide to start blogging one day.  If there’s elegance in simplicity, we’re ...Click for More

10 New Shows I’m Looking Forward to This Fall

September 2, 2013 // 0 Comments

With Labor Day weekend upon us, it means a couple of things.  First, summer is over.  Second, we are close to getting real TV back.  There has been some decent TV over the summer but we all know that mostly it’s a wasteland.  Soon though, real TV will be back.  We gave you the premiere dates of all the shows on TV this fall and the list is long (and distinguished).  There is a lot of good TV coming back to us this fall and plenty of new shows coming too.  I’m excited about ...Click for More

Two A Days – Continued

August 30, 2013 // 0 Comments

We started our coverage of the upcoming Fall schedule with the Fox Network.  One of our writers had a mental break that day and posted something completely unrelated.  Hopefully his suspension is up soon and you will again see him posting.  Get well soon Midwest Mark. Here’s the complete Fox lineup.  All blue items are links to our previous reviews. Monday – Bones, Sleepy Hollow Tuesday – Dads, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, New Girl, The Mindy Project Wednesday – The X Factor ...Click for More

Two-A-Days Fall Preview with Midwest Mark

August 27, 2013 // 2 Comments

To ‘piggyback’ off of the trend that MIDWEST MO launched this morning, I will start off in the most sensible place that any MIDWEST MARK can possibly start:  FX. What’s that you say?  This technically makes 4-a-days now?  Au contraire, you paltry naysayer… I’m my own man.  And MIDWEST MO doesn’t count anyway.  It’s so cute how he tries to write real articles every now and again.  Maybe I’ll try my hand at doing an AROUND THE WEB segment one ...Click for More

Two A Days – (Yes We’re Copying Mike and Mike)

August 27, 2013 // 1 Comment

We are about a month away from the start of the start of the Fall TV season and we haven’t really discussed it much. Being guys we watch a lot of sports.  I was listening to Mike and Mike on ESPN this morning and they do a segment called 2 A Days where they scout 2 NFL football teams. It got me thinking that this would be a good way for us to cover the upcoming Fall schedule.  So without further adieu, I bring you 2 A Days with Mike, Mo & Mark. What better place to start our 2 A ...Click for More

Back In The Game

June 12, 2013 // 0 Comments

I want to first start off by saying I love both James Caan and Maggie Lawson.  Maggie’s on my favorite show Psych, which just finished it’s 7th season and is set for a 13 episode 8th season which will air in early 2014.  James Caan is just an all around great actor.  I loved him as Ed Deline in Las Vegas.  However… I always imagined the process of selecting which shows to make and which to pass on was a thorough and exhaustive process where network executives scoured ...Click for More
