Just two days from Halloween and it can’t get here soon enough. I’m already sick and tired of seeing the pictures of all the hipster douches and their ironic costumes. Let’s cleanse our palette with some news from around the web.

  • Someone on Reddit found this and I don’t know how they did it but it’s great.  Here is a blooper reel from Star Wars. (Uproxx)
  • I am a graduate of a Big 10 university.  It is not Ohio State. I had to have my wife submit this link for all of you because it sickened me too much to do it myself but, we are professionals here and my hatred of Ohio State should not keep you from watching the OSU marching band pay homage to some Hollywood blockbuster films. (Huffington Post)
  • I love Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. He is awful at interviewing guests but his skits and musical numbers are fantastic. Recently Hugh Laurie and Celine Dion were on with Jimmy and he had them play a game of singing Password. (Seriously OMG)
  • It’s been a while since we’ve had any Farrah Abraham news and we can feel your pain out there in MWTVG land. Here is some news for you. Abraham apparently was on a show I’ve never heard of and had to answer some uncomfortable questions about her parenting skills. Surprise. She didn’t handle it well. (Superficial)
  • Want to know how it’s possible for athletes and TV stars to make the money they make?  Part of it is the advertising that gets sold on their show or during their games. The stars of CBS’ hit The Big Bang Theory are reportedly making $500,000 per episode plus syndication profits. At their height, the stars of Friends were each making $1 million per episode. Crazy right?  That’s all possible by advertising. Here is what it costs for 30 seconds of advertising time on TV by show. (Buzz Feed)
  • I remember the day that John Belushi died. He was a huge star and from the same home town as two of us here at MWTVG. Now 31 years after his death, there is a new biopic that is being executive produced by Belushi’s good friend Dan Akroyd. The role of John Belushi has been cast. See if you can guess who it is…FYI I bet you can’t. (Hollywood Reporter)
  • I got goosebumps watching the video clip in this next link. Mandy Patinkin discussing his favorite line from The Princess Bride. It’s not the line you think and if you love The Princess Bride, you’ll want to see this. (Yahoo)
  • How many of you out there see or read a review of a movie, find out the review is terrible, and go and see the movie anyway?  A lot of us do that. Judging by this list of the lowest reviewed but highest grossing movies of all time, I’d say that just about all of us ignore the critics. (Slash Film)
  • I may hate the costumes already but it is nearly Halloween and we are a blog of the people and you people seem to like it.  Since that seems to be the case, we can give you this list of 6 serial killers more terrifying than any horror movie. (Cracked)
  • Here is a link that will put a smile on your face. I like Arnold Schwarzenegger and after seeing this, I like him even more. Watch what he does here with a fan who has Down’s Syndrome who is meeting Arnold at a book signing. (The Chive)
