Around the Web – 10/25/13

around the webSince you went away I’ve been hanging around
I’ve been wondering why I’m feeling down
You went away, it should make me feel better
But I don’t know, oh.

The Pet Shop Boys

The Cardinals have come back and tied the series at a game a piece. I told them to suck it the other day so it’s only fair that I congratulate them for the win.  Cardinals fans, you can still suck it though. Let’s get the news from around the web as you head in to the weekend.

  • When you think of 80s TV, you have to think of Miami Vice. An awesome show with awesome music and an awesome Don Johnson. What you might not have known about Miami Vice is that it was a starting point for a lot of famous people in Hollywood.  Here are 27 actors who got their start on Miami Vice. (Mental Floss)
  • I’m not going to lie to you. This next link will take you to something that is going to make you feel.  Here are 31 pictures a husband took documenting his wife’s fight with cancer. (Imgur)
  • Something I didn’t know about. When Jim Henson died, artists from Disney sent their condolences. (MickieandMinnie)
  • For most of us, we don’t need any more reasons to love Tom Hanks because we love him quite a bit already. When you hear about what he did for one of his fans though, you are still going to love him even more. (Seriously OMG)
  • There is an upcoming musical biopic on Elton John and I am confused about who has been cast to play Elton.  You probably will be too. (Evil Beet)
  • We all know that Kris Jenner did a crap ass job raising the Kardashian girls. That has been well and publicly documented. Now it appears as though the kids she had with Bruce aren’t turning out too good either. (Amy Grindhouse)
  • I don’t have any idea what the heck this commercial is selling but these advertisers learned the key lesson of advertising, sex sells. Apparently this commercial was too racy though because even the Australians banned it and if you know the Aussies, that is quite a shock. (I Am Bored)
  • There are a group of guys out there that have taken a Tesla Coil and have turned it in to a musical instrument. It’s pretty impressive. Here is a video of their Tesla Coil playing Sail by Awolnation. (The Chive)
  • I’m going to end the week (before our hot girl of the day) on this link and I think you’ll agree, this might be the funniest one of the week. Crest gave a bunch of kids healthy flavored Halloween candy with flavors like asparagus, beets, and vitamins. The results are hilarious. (Buzz Feed)
