We here at MWTVG have been kicking around the idea that you are sometimes just too old for a show. On December 17, 1989 Matt Groeing gave us THE SIMPSONS.
With Treehouse of Horror XXII, there have been 510 episodes spanning 24 seasons. If you were to sit down and try to watch THE SIMPSONS all at once, it would take you nearly 180 hours or over 7 days of straight viewing to watch it all. Simply amazing.
Yet, after watching the show last night with my kids (yes it’s bad parenting, but it keeps them quiet), I can’t help but think I’m getting too old for this show. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not so old as to start watching BLUE BLOODS or VEGAS.
I guess what I’m saying is when is either the FRIENDS or SEINFELD reunion show?
So I started to walk into the water. I won’t lie to you boys, I was terrified. But I pressed on, and as I made my way past the breakers a strange calm came over me. I don’t know if it was divine intervention or the kinship of all living things, but I tell you Jerry, at that moment I was a marine biologist.”
